This is the correspondence between myself and Mr. Montgomery on March 27.2026 Hello Bonnie, In regards to the framed print that was in the photo you sent to me, I am happy to tell what I can about it. It is quite a tale! The photo featured is an original silkscreen print, often called a serigraph, created by me, Gregory R. Montgomery, in the spring of 1986. This print is number 12 out of an edition of 35 prints. (12/35) I personally silkscreen printed this piece in my garage in Saratoga with help from my wife. Prior to the start of the 1986 Saratoga racing season I needed to create at least one good copy of my “Travers Silks” artwork. That one good print could then be photographed and made into printing plates to print the many copies of the 1986 Travers poster.
